Novus Print Gauteng, a division of Novus Holdings, is currently seeking to appoint a Printers Mechanic, the position will be reporting to the Technical Foreman.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Execution of project driven mechanical installations and maintenance
  • Monitor and development of preventative maintenance plan aligned with technical
    procedures
  • Assess the maintenance and mechanical requirements of jobs assigned and
    allocated
  • Receive and assess breakdown jobs on Shopware (computerised maintenance program)
  • Check and monitor the handover after completion of jobs
  • Oversee and manage project installations and upgrades of equipment
  • Adhere and comply with OHS Act, safety procedures and report unsafe acts

Educational Requirements

  • N4 – Qualification
  • Trade tested printers mechanic, fitter and turner or other relevant trade

Experience Requirements

  • At least 5 years’ experience in a mechanical environment
  • Knowledge of fault finding and repairs on hydraulic and pneumatic equipment
  • Experience in the printing and or manufacturing industry(advantageous)
  • Experience of working with contractors and supplier

  • Ability to work independently with minimum supervison in a team

  • Good timekeeping and attendance
