- Carry out electrical repairs and maintenance on Earthmoving Equipment in the workshops or on customer sites.
- Remove and install electrical components.
- Ensure safe work practice and carry out risk assessment.
- Follow through to ensure that quality and productivity standards of own work are consistently and accurately maintained.
- Wiring electrical panels (MV & HV).
- Maintain professional image when representing BWE on customer sites.
- Effective self-management and performance ownership.
- Control Contamination and own admin (labour booking, service reports, part returns, expenses etc.)
- Perform periodic standby and call outs.
Qualification, Experience and Competencies
- Qualified Electrician with post apprenticeship / Learnership experience.
- Five years’ work experience on shovels.
- A Formal maintenance experience on shovels.
- Machine specific technical knowledge and skills.
- Basic technical report writing.
- Some computer literacy (SIS, STW and ET) knowledge.
- Basic trouble shooting and problem-solving skills.
- Applicable product knowledge.
- Additional electrical training and certificates advantageous.
