What you will enjoy doing
- You will be in charge for maintaining and controlling plant production output to ensure optimum efficiency, as well as satisfying all customer requirements and complying with the requirements of the OHS Act, IMSS, ISO9001 and the plant procedures and quality manuals
- Further you will be eliminating incidents or accidents and to maintain a healthy working environment
- Building sound relationships with customers, fellow workers and management is part of your role
- In addition, you will be monitoring and logging of plant equipment operating parameters to predict problems which could lead to plant downtime
- You will be performing regular quality control checks on plant processes, whilst optimizing the process
- Producing reliable and up-to-date records of daily production reports
- Active involvement in continuous improvement initiatives within the plant
What makes you great
- You have a Matric certificate preferably with Physical Science and Mathematics or N3
- You own the ability to multi-skill, with a qualification in an Artisanship or similar, as well as to work without supervision, yet be part of a production team in a shift environment
- A sound knowledge of Quality and Safety Procedures is required
- Good interpersonal and communication skills as well as a valid drivers license with own reliable transport is required for this position
- Other critical competencies required include partnership building, influencing, change leadership and capability development
