La Lucia Healthcare Hospital is recruiting a Technical Assistant who will be responsible for the following:
- Basic hand skills for the purpose of assisting with general maintenance tasks.
- Assistance with building and painting.
- Routine maintenance checks.
- Supervised maintenance of air-conditioning systems, with its associated filter cleaning, and assistance with cleaning of ducts and equipment, form part of the day-to-day routine of this position.
- Assisting with minor structural changes in and around the facility.
- Moving of doctor’s rooms and associated equipment and furniture
- Assisting in putting up and preparing of walls, dry walls and other partitioning.
- Supervised maintenance, treating and painting of carports, parking areas, peripheral fencing, and roofing structures in general.
- Supervised general building, plant and machinery maintenance.
- Supervised general cleaning and maintenance of Hospital property
SKILLS PROFILE EDUCATION
- Qualification in or equivalent to Technical Assistant level
- Ability to provide fast, efficient, quality workmanship always
WORK EXPERIENCE
- Availability for standby, call out and overtime when necessary
- Must have driver’s license
- Relevant working experience in building maintenance, plumbing, and carpentry
- Ability to carry out basic electrical fault finding
- Relevant hospital experience will be a recommendation
KNOWLEDGE
- Basic skills with general tools
- Good hand skills

- Familiar with safe workshop practice

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: R15,000.00 – R26,000.00 per month
