RCL Foods: Technical Apprenticeship

Job Description RCL FOODS MILLING is embarking on an apprentice programme and we invite suitable candidates to embrace this opportunity by applying. We are looking for young, dynamic and self-motivated individuals who will be able to work independently. The successful candidate will be based in Pretoria West.
Minimum Requirements In order to be considered for selection candidates need to be in possession of a grade 12 with atleast a N3 qualification or NCV level 3 plus N4.


Required N3 subjects


    • Mathematics
    • Engineering Science
    • Platers theory
    • Platers and structural steel drawing / Engineering drawing / Engineering graphics and design.


 

Duties & Responsibilities On start the apprentice will undergo his/her practical (plant) training under the full supervision of a qualified boilermaker and get exposure in a variety will of sections including Silo (Intake), Mills, Packing and Oil Plant.


The apprentice will be involved with assisting boilermakers on normal project work, planned maintenance, breakdowns or any ad hoc work. Carry out routine workshop cleaning (5S practices) including cleaning of artisans tools, clean up work stations after job has been completed and also giving assistance to fitters and electricians from time to time.


As the training advances to second and third years, the apprentice will be required to be independent but still fully consulting with qualified artisans on all tasks given to him i.e design, construct, assemble, maintain, and repair all metal structures in the factory environment.


Apply theoretical knowledge of design techniques, tools, blueprints, tools and principles in production of precision technical plans, drawings and models.


Apply knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services.


Display and show keen interest in how plant various processes operater
