Responsibilities:
- Perform duties within a limited range as per instructions from the instructor or person in charge.
- Perform a wider range of duties unsupervised as advised by the instructor or person in charge.
- Perform wide range of duties unsupervised, seeking advice from seniors only when necessary.
- Analyse data using MS Excel and proficient with MS Word, PowerPoint and outlook.
- Negotiate in detail without hindrance with engineering, foreman and supervisor levels.
- Negotiate in detail without hindrance with core engineering, supervisors, and managers within the plant.
- Daily follow up on uniformity downgrade, scrap, buff & rework items from building and curing.
- Assistance and participation in technical and production activities to ensure target are met.
- Investigation and analysis of problems during back shifts.
- Problem Solving with production supervisors and EO.
- Trouble shooting on the factory floor, and on the floor decisions to help with problem solving and effectiveness.
- Inspect off-spec material and seek advice from supervisors.
- Assisting in disposition of scrap or defective material.
- Judge defective products, and how to process them.
- Tire cut section sample and check dimensions.
- Take tread contour sample, and judge for conformity.
- Ensure adherence to quality/technical/process standards.
- Process and Product checks and follow up of corrective actions.
- Detecting abnormalities in tire assembly machines, curing and testing machines.
- Tire assembly machine and curing press adjustments and understands their functions.
Requirements:
- Matric and / or relevant tyre experience.
- Drivers License
- Management ability
- Computer literate
- Physically capable
