Purpose of the Role

We are looking for a skilled and experienced Electrician to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced FMCG manufacturing environment. The primary responsibility of this role is to ensure the efficient, safe, and effective maintenance of all electrical systems and equipment on-site. The successful candidate will play a critical role in minimizing downtime, enhancing operational efficiency, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality workmanship while complying with strict safety standards.


Key Duties & Responsibilities

Preventative & Corrective Maintenance

  • Conduct routine preventative maintenance on all electrical equipment to ensure smooth plant operations.

  • Diagnose and repair electrical faults and breakdowns promptly to reduce production downtime.

  • Identify and report potential electrical issues before they escalate, ensuring proactive maintenance.

  • Perform electrical inspections across the plant and implement corrective actions when necessary.

  • Maintain all electrical components, wiring, systems, and sub-systems to ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry best practices.

Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure all tasks are completed following occupational health and safety guidelines and company policies.

  • Adhere to lockout/tagout procedures during maintenance work.

  • Participate in safety training and toolbox talks as required.


Minimum Requirements For The Electrician Jobs at RCL Foods

Education & Qualification

  • N3 Certificate or higher in Electrical Engineering.

  • Recognized Electrical Trade Test Certificate (Red Seal preferred).

Experience & Skills

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience working as an Electrician in a high-volume FMCG manufacturing environment.

  • Medium Voltage (MV) certification – valid and current.

  • Strong working knowledge of AC and DC drives.

  • Practical experience with PLC systems; certificate of attendance in PLC training required.

  • Exposure to instrumentation systems and ability to interpret technical schematics and wiring diagrams.
