Purpose of the Learnership
This structured, work‑based learning programme develops commercial acumen and practical in‑store execution skills needed to service customers, grow volume, facilitate order capture, and uphold merchandising standards across direct and indirect retail channels. Learners will gain frontline sales exposure while completing the theoretical and practical components required to earn a 120‑credit qualification over 12 months.
Key Relationships

Sales Team Members: Collaborate on daily call activities; share best practices and market insights.

Sales Account Developer (Line Manager): Receive coaching, performance feedback, and guidance on sales process, safety, and execution standards.

Consumers & Shopper Observations: Gather insights into shopper behaviour, product preferences, and promotional response to inform execution and future strategies.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
In‑Store Execution & Merchandising Excellence
-
Execute daily call schedules across assigned bronze and tin outlets in line with call objectives and route plans.

Implement brand‑approved visual merchandising: display builds, point‑of‑sale (POS) placement, and shelf presentation.

Manage stock rotation (FIFO), product quality checks, and on‑shelf availability.

Ensure compliance with RED* and execution scorecard standards; complete iRED surveys as required.

Support and train customers on placing replenishment orders via the MyCCBA digital platform.

Assist with set‑up and execution of trade promotions, activations, and price/pack displays to drive visibility and volume.

Provide relief cover to other sales territories/outlets as directed by the line manager.
Minimum Entry Requirements For the Coca-Cola Beverages Unemployed Learner
Education
-
Grade 12 with Maths or Maths Literacy (minimum 40%).

Grade 12 English plus a second language (minimum 40%).

A post‑matric Sales & Marketing qualification is advantageous (list NQF level if known).
Eligibility & Compliance

South African citizen.

Unemployed at time of appointment.

Between 18 and 35 years of age.

Employment Equity candidates will be given preference.

Available to work six (6) days per week, including weekends/public holiday rotations as scheduled.

No criminal record and no adverse credit record.
-
Willing to undergo criminal, identity, qualification, and (if applicable) credit verification.

Not currently enrolled in any learnership programme or full‑time studies.

Have not previously completed the same or similar learnership/qualification at another organisation.

Valid Driver’s Licence is advantageous (and may be required for travel between stores).

Programme Structure

Duration: 12 months (fixed‑term learnership agreement; not a permanent employment contract).

Credits: Minimum 120 credits required to successfully complete the qualification.

Learning Mix: On‑the‑job practical training + structured learning modules + competency assessments.
