As an Electrical Assistant, you will support qualified electricians with installation, maintenance, and repair work on electrical systems and equipment. Minimum Qualifications and Skills

To be considered for the Electrical Assistant job, candidates must have the following:

• Grade 12 / Matric or NQF Level 4 equivalent qualification

• Completed Basic Rigging Course

• Engineering studies qualification (advantageous)

• Ability to communicate effectively in English (both written and verbal)

• Strong attention to detail and safety awareness

Required Work Experience For The Ivanplats Artisan Assistant Electrician

• Minimum 1 year of work experience in a mining environment

• Hands-on experience with the use of hand tools

• Exposure to basic electrical maintenance and installation work

Key Duties and Responsibilities

As an Electrical Assistant, your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting electricians with electrical maintenance and repair tasks

• Performing basic electrical installations under supervision

• Ensuring work area cleanliness and good housekeeping at all times

• Operating and maintaining hand-held electrical tools

• Connecting wiring to electrical equipment as per approved standards

• Performing excavation and reinstatement tasks when required

• Securing electrical equipment and cables safely

• Assisting in daily, weekly, and monthly inspections of electrical systems

• Promptly reporting defects and hazards to the electrician or supervisor

• Always wearing correct Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

• Practicing effective self-management aligned with Cementation Africa values
