2025 Artisan Aide Skills Programme at PMC Vacancy Post

Palabora Copper (Pty) Ltd is offering an exciting Artisan Aide Skills Programme for candidates from the Ba-Phalaborwa Communities. This 3-month fixed-term contract is designed to equip successful candidates with the necessary skills and training to advance in various artisan trades. Top-performing candidates will be considered for further Artisan Development Learnerships upon completion of the Artisan Skills Programme, based on their technical aptitude and performance in core trade modules.

 

Available Artisan Aide Disciplines:

Electrical – Ref Number: SP-ELEC

Mechanical (Fitting, Fitting and Turning) – Ref Number: SP-MECH

Instrumentation – Ref Number: SP-MC&I

Plater/Boilermaking – Ref Number: SP-BOIL

Eligibility Criteria:

To apply for this Artisan Aide Skills Programme at Palabora Copper, candidates must meet the following qualifications:

 

Grade 12 certificate (Matric).

Unemployed South African citizens who have not participated in similar training programs before.

Candidates aged 18-35 years, with no criminal record.

Pre-screening assessments and interviews will be conducted for short-listed applicants.

Applicants must be medically fit to work in all areas of the operation.

Required Documents for Application:

Cover letter indicating the discipline you are applying for.

Certified copy of your most recent academic results, such as:

Full Nated course (Four subjects @ N2/N3 or similar).

NCV Level 3 certificate (all 7 subjects).

Technical Matric Certificate with Math (E-symbol), Physical Science (E-symbol), and Trade-related theory subjects.

Comprehensive Curriculum Vitae (CV).

Certified copy of your ID.

Certified copy of your Matric certificate.

Proof of residential address from the Ba-Phalaborwa communities (Maseke, Lulekani, Makhushane, Namakgale, Benfarm, Selwane, Mashishimale, and Phalaborwa Town) – such as a Municipal or Tribal Authority letter, certified by a Commissioner of Oaths.
