Thabang Maimela’s Tip

If you are applying for this position, do not simply list your trade qualification and previous employers on your CV. Sandvik is looking for someone who can demonstrate practical technical competence in a mining environment.

Highlight the specific earthmoving equipment you have worked on, the hydraulic and electrical systems you understand, and the types of faults you have successfully diagnosed and repaired.

If you have experience with any of the Sandvik machines listed in the advert, mention their model numbers. This can help demonstrate that your experience is relevant to the position.

Before applying, ensure that your application clearly demonstrates that you meet the technical and experience requirements.

Prepare the following:

  • An updated CV outlining your field service and mining equipment experience.
  • Copies of your Matric certificate and relevant trade qualifications.
