Electrical Maintenance Artisan Vacancy Post
We are seeking a qualified Electrical Maintenance Artisan to inspect, maintain, and repair plant equipment, as well as perform critical shutdown work. This role adheres to world-class manufacturing principles and practices.
Qualifications
- Matric/Grade 12 (with Maths and Science)
- N2 or N3 Engineering
- Trade-Specific Artisan Certification (Red Seal) in Electrical Engineering
Experience
- 2-5 years of experience in a maintenance environment as an artisan
Key Responsibilities
- OHS Act Compliance: Ensure statutory compliance with safety regulations
- MTBF (Mean Time Between Failures) Management:
- Execute Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM)
- Conduct strategic maintenance inspections and fault-finding
- Oversee spares procurement and usage
- Report downtime and incidents for strategic equipment
- PPM Quality Control:
- Perform over-inspections and feedback on PPM schedules
- Ensure PPM QC standards are met
- 5S Principle Implementation:
- Drive 5S principles within the maintenance team
- Maintain a clean and organized working environment
