We are currently recruiting apprentices in the following fields:
Electrician
Mechanical Fitter
Fitter & Turner
Millwright
What You Will Learn:
As an apprentice, you will receive extensive on-the-job training and practical exposure to various aspects of engineering and maintenance. Your responsibilities will include:
Learning electrical maintenance and installation, from small electronics to high-voltage inspections.
Gaining mechanical maintenance and installation experience, including working with engines, generators, and large machinery.
Developing welding and fabrication skills for small, custom-built components.
Understanding hydraulics and learning how to replace rams and control solenoids.
Inspecting and maintaining crane components operating at 6600 volts.
Troubleshooting and repairing breakdowns on-site or recovering faulty equipment for in-house repairs.
Learning to reduce waste by repairing key components in-house rather than replacing them.
Requirements & Eligibility:
To qualify for this engineering apprenticeship, you must meet the following criteria:
Must be a South African Citizen with a valid ID.
Aged between 18-35 years.
Grade 12 / National Certificate Vocational (NCV) Level 4 or equivalent.
N2 qualification with subjects such as Mathematics and Engineering Science.
Additional Considerations:
Apprentices must obtain a full trade certificate upon completion of the program.
The role requires working at heights, and successful candidates will need to pass a height test before contracts are issued.
All applicants must complete an aptitude test as part of the selection process.
