LH Marthinusen, a division of ACTOM (Pty) Ltd, is offering an exciting opportunity for Apprentices (Armature Winder) to join a 4-year Apprenticeship Programme. This structured training programme provides hands-on experience, theoretical learning, and trade test qualification under the Manufacturing, Engineering, and Related Services Sector Education and Training Authority (MerSETA) guidelines.
Successful candidates will receive a Limited Duration Contract, with the potential for permanent employment upon completion of the apprenticeship and trade test qualification.
Key Responsibilities:
As an Apprentice Armature Winder, you will:
Follow the prescribed training modules outlined in the apprenticeship manual.
Complete all required coursework, practical training, tests, and evaluations to progress through the programme.
Maintain a detailed logbook documenting all skills, tasks, and experiences learned.
Ensure high housekeeping standards in the work area at all times.
Adhere to company policies, procedures, and limits of authority throughout the apprenticeship.
Assist in allocated departments while gaining exposure to other company functions.
Engage with mentors and supervisors, asking job-related questions to enhance learning.
Comply with workplace safety, quality, and environmental regulations in accordance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 standards.
Follow Work Instructions, Safe Work Instructions, and Safety Rules relevant to job training.
Health, Safety, Environment & Quality (SHEQ) Compliance:
Familiarize yourself with and follow relevant Quality Management System (QMS) procedures.
Ensure compliance with safety protocols and adhere to all ISO standards applicable to your role.
Take responsibility for maintaining a safe and hazard-free work environment.
Minimum Requirements for the LH Marthinusen Denver 2025 Apprentice Program
To be eligible for this apprenticeship, you must have:
Technical Grade 12 Certificate with subjects including:
Mathematics
Engineering Science
OR N2 Certificate with four Electrical Engineering Subjects.
