Maemo Motors Commercial Vehicles Rustenburg has exciting opportunities for Level 1 Apprentices in the service department. If you have a passion for automotive technology, diagnostics, and repair, this apprenticeship is your chance to gain hands-on experience and work with cutting-edge diagnostic equipment.
As an Apprentice Technician, you will assist with fault diagnosis, vehicle servicing, and repairs, ensuring customer satisfaction while following Daimler Commercial South Africa (DCSA) procedures and policies.
Key Responsibilities For The Maemo Motors 2025 Level 1 Apprentice Program
Perform fault diagnosis to speed up vehicle servicing and ensure accurate repairs.
Use diagnostic equipment to assess vehicle performance and troubleshoot issues.
Ensure all repairs follow DCSA procedures and policies, with documentation maintained.
Diagnose and repair electrical systems and mechanical components efficiently.
Discuss vehicle issues with Service Advisors and provide clear explanations to customers.
Ensure vehicles are returned to customers in a neat and clean condition after servicing.
Attend to breakdown calls as required, providing mobile diagnostic support.
Reduce comebacks by ensuring high-quality workmanship and attention to detail.
Handle job cards and repair documentation accurately and submit them on time.
Sign for and correctly allocate parts used on each vehicle, returning unused parts.
Assist in special promotional campaigns and provide input on customer service improvements.
Keep work area clean and organized, adhering to workplace safety and efficiency standards.
Attend MBSA and Cargo Motors training courses to enhance skills and technical knowledge.
Provide technical support and advice to apprentices and colleagues on repair methods.
Minimum Qualifications & Experience
To qualify for this automotive apprenticeship, candidates must meet the following requirements:
Education Requirements:
Grade 12 (Matric) with Mathematics and Physical Science.
N2 Certificate with the following subjects:
Engineering Science
Technical Drawing
Mathematics
Motor Trade Theory
Skills & Attributes:
Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Customer-focused mindset with excellent interpersonal skills.
Ability to diagnose and repair vehicle faults efficiently.
Eager to learn and adapt to modern automotive technologies.
Team player with a proactive attitude and willingness to take initiative.
