Job Advert Summary
Reporting to the Mechanical Foreman the successful candidate will provide assistance and support to the Welder with the maintenance, manufacturing and installation of structural equipment at Zuikerbosch Water Treatment Plant.
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 (National Senior Certificate) or NTC3 in Welding
- One year working experience in a welding workshop environment
- Successful completion of a basic welding training/course will serve as an added advantage.
- A valid Code EB Driver’s license would serve as an advantage.
- PREFERENCE WILL BE GIVEN TO APPLICANTS WITH DISABILITIES
Primary Duties
- Assist the artisan with general welding tasks in he maintaining, manufacturing and installation of structural equipment.
- General assistance by identifying and handling of welding equipment and tools.
- General housekeeping duties of workshop, workplace, tools and equipment.
- Minor welding repairs.

- Ability to do minor welding repairs
- Communication skills (verbal & written)
- Ability to complete job cards
- Ability to understand welding work instructions/procedures
