Job Requirements for Maintenance Technician (Mechanical & Electrical)
Minimum Education/Training Required:
- Grade 12 (Matric) or equivalent qualification
Minimum Work Experience Required:
- At least 3 years of experience in a production environment or similar industry.
Key Performance Areas:
- Perform maintenance and repairs on various machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
- Conduct regular inspection of machinery and equipment, performing preventative maintenance to minimize downtime and prevent breakdowns.
- Strict adherence to health and safety policies, ensuring the safe operation of compressors and all other industrial machinery.
- Maintain cleanliness and housekeeping in the work area, ensuring a safe and organized environment for efficient operations.
Technical Knowledge/Competencies:
- Solid mechanical and electrical knowledge to handle routine and emergency repairs.
- Experience in general maintenance and ability to perform a wide range of repairs.
- Proficiency in using basic hand tools for repair and maintenance tasks.
- Knowledge and experience with cutting torch, welding, panel building, motor repairs, replacement of parts, and electrical motor testing.
