Minimum Requirements
Grade 12 (Matric)
Passion for the technical aspects of vehicles
Must reside in the East Rand or nearby areas
Duties & Responsibilities For The Service Workshop Apprentice
As an apprentice, you will work closely with the technician and foreman to learn various aspects of the workshop operations, including:
All aspects of vehicle service, repairs, and diagnostics
Booking vehicles in and interacting with customers
Learning and adhering to all workshop processes and procedures
Ensuring full compliance with Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA)
Building a strong relationship with the sales team, workshop staff, and other key departments
Desired Experience & Qualifications
Grade 12 and a technical qualification such as N1, N2, or N3 (motor trade subjects are a distinct advantage)
Code 8 (EB) driver’s license
Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, and Outlook)
Experience in a dealership service workshop or a similar mechanical service environment is a plus
Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
Strong customer relations and a team player
Medically fit and a clear criminal record
Own transport is advantageous but not required
Passion for vehicles and a commitment to a career in the motor trade
Package & Remuneration
Salary: R7,000 – R10,000 (depending on experience), plus allowances, incentives, and a provident fund contribution
Training: Full training provided towards obtaining your Red Seal qualification
