Key Responsibilities:
As an Apprentice Artisan, your primary focus will be to learn and acquire the required skills and competencies through structured training and real-world work experience. Key responsibilities include:

Actively participate in the formal training plan associated with your designated trade

Make reasonable progress toward acquiring skills and completing competencies
-
Attend all required training sessions, assessments, and practical learning modules
-
Maintain an up-to-date logbook or training record, available for review by the employer or training provider
-
Understand that all training materials and workplace instructions are the property of the employer
-
Under the guidance of qualified artisans/technicians:
-
Maintain, repair, and optimize plant equipment and systems
-
Assist with industrial installations, cable reticulation, and instrumentation circuits
-
Participate in the testing and commissioning of instrumentation, SCADA, and DCS systems
-

Use hand and power tools efficiently and safely
-
Work collaboratively with your team to meet maintenance and project objectives
-
Ensure compliance with all Health, Safety, and Environmental regulations and standards
-
Take proactive action to identify and report any unsafe conditions or practices
Minimum Requirements:
To qualify for this opportunity, candidates must meet the following criteria:

Completed Grade 12 (Matric) with Mathematics and Science
-
N3 Certificate (required to qualify for a future Trade Test)

Driver’s license is advantageous

Basic understanding of process plant operations and the importance of maintenance

Must be medically fit to work in a chemical plant environment and be able to obtain health clearance
