Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Utilities Maintenance Technician with a background as a Fitter, Fitter and Turner, or Millwright to join our technical operations team. This hands-on role is responsible for the maintenance, repair, and operation of utility systems including boilers, compressors, pumps, refrigeration, and HVAC systems. If you have solid experience in the FMCG, pharmaceutical, API, or chemical manufacturing sectors, and a passion for keeping essential systems running efficiently, we’d like to hear from you!
Minimum Job Requirements

NTC 4 (N4) or formal Trade Certificate as a Fitter, Fitter & Turner, or Millwright.

2–3 years’ experience in utilities or plant maintenance.

Working knowledge of HFO Boilers, Air Compressors, Pump Systems, and Refrigeration Equipment.

Familiarity with Purified Water Systems or HVAC Systems is an added advantage.

SAP system knowledge is beneficial.

Strong understanding of the OHS Act, safety regulations, and safe working practices.

Experience in pharmaceutical, FMCG, or industrial environments preferred.
Key Responsibilities

Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on utility systems per scheduled work orders.

Conduct equipment diagnostics, troubleshooting, and fault analysis.

Replace defective parts and ensure prompt resolution of breakdowns to minimize downtime.

Operate utility systems and ensure availability to all stakeholders.

Conduct root cause analysis and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.

Maintain tools, spares, and workshop equipment in accordance with safety and quality standards.

Create requisitions for spares and equipment using SAP or relevant ERP systems.

Install, commission, and validate new utility equipment or upgrades.

Execute project-based tasks as needed by the engineering or production teams.
