Key Responsibilities

Participate in practical training based on the Trainee Welding Operator role.

Complete the full theoretical and practical training syllabus in line with program modules.

Acquire hands-on experience through structured on-the-job training in a real-world workshop environment.

Successfully complete all skills assessments and theoretical evaluations.

Read and interpret engineering drawings, work instructions, and shop documentation to carry out tasks accurately.

Assist in manufacturing processes, including proper use and handling of welding consumables.

Operate welding equipment proficiently, producing work that meets high-quality fabrication standards.

Ensure traceability of welds and maintain accurate records in accordance with company procedures.

Use Kronos or other systems for accurate timekeeping and task reporting.

Communicate safety, quality, or production issues to supervisors or mentors promptly.

Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace, adhering to 5S principles and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications & Requirements

Grade 12 / Technical Matric with Mathematics and Physical Science (Standard or Higher Grade)

Additional trade-related subjects at Grade 12 level are a strong advantage
