Are you passionate about manufacturing and packaging? Heineken Beverages is offering two Learnership opportunities in Food & Beverages Packaging Operations at our Gqeberha Manufacturing plant. This 14-month learnership programme is designed to equip individuals with practical skills in automated food and beverage packaging operations.
Programme Overview
This Food & Beverage Packaging Learnership provides hands-on training and theoretical knowledge to operate in a high-speed, automated packaging environment. Upon completion, learners will be qualified to perform basic operations on a packaging line within the food and beverage manufacturing industry.
Key Learnership Outcomes:

Understand and operate basic machinery in a packaging or manufacturing environment.

Monitor Critical Control Points (CCPs) as part of the HACCP system.

Apply quality control practices in food or consumer product operations.

Complete 3 x Machine Workplace Observations (based on operational needs):

Washing
-
Filling
-
Sealing
-
Labelling
-
Palletizing
-
Depalletizing
-

Conduct first-line maintenance and apply basic troubleshooting.

Demonstrate effective communication and interpretation of technical information.

Apply mathematical skills in a manufacturing context.
Note: Learners must attend training classes and pass all assessments with a minimum of 70% per subject.
Minimum Requirements:

Must be unemployed at the time of application.

Completed Grade 12/Matric with Mathematics (not Maths Literacy) and English.

Previous experience in production or high-speed packaging is an advantage.

Knowledge of safe working practices.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Physically fit to meet the demands of the role.

Willing to work shifts and overtime during training, if required.
