Job Purpose
As an Installation Technician, you will be responsible for independently installing and maintaining automotive tracking and recovery systems, fleet monitoring devices, and vehicle surveillance equipment on a variety of vehicles including light/heavy motor vehicles, trucks, trailers, and machinery.
Key Responsibilities

Install vehicle tracking devices, cameras, and two-way radios into various types of vehicles.

Perform diagnostics and basic repairs on tracking devices and auto-electrical systems.

Conduct current draw tests and identify solutions to technical issues.

Ensure high standards of workmanship and customer satisfaction.

Maintain a consistent and optimal daily fitment rate.
Core Duties

Accurate installation, testing, and troubleshooting of electronic units.

Maintain detailed records of installations and any technical issues encountered.

Work closely with internal departments to coordinate client appointments and manage stock requirements.
Required Qualifications & Experience
-
Matric / NQF Level 4 qualification in Electrical or Auto Electrical Engineering.

Minimum 2 years’ experience in vehicle tracking and electronic installations.

Valid Code 8 Driver’s License (Essential).

Clear criminal record (Essential).

Experience with Netstar products is a strong advantage.
