We are seeking a qualified Electrician to join our maintenance team in a high-paced automotive manufacturing environment. Reporting directly to the Team Leader, the successful candidate will be responsible for performing electrical installations, repairs, and fault-finding maintenance on machinery, factory equipment, and building infrastructure. The role requires adherence to the highest quality, safety, and performance standards, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:

Perform installation, repair, and maintenance of factory machinery and building electrical systems in accordance with engineering standards.

Execute preventative maintenance as per job cards and standard operating procedures.

Accurately complete timesheets and maintenance reports to ensure proper documentation of work performed and downtime analysis.

Diagnose and resolve electrical faults and breakdowns, including basic PLC troubleshooting.

Ensure all electrical work complies with company SHE (Safety, Health & Environment) policies and Work Instructions.

Participate actively in routine safety inspections and continuous improvement initiatives.

Minimum Requirements:

Qualified Electrician (NQF Level 2 or higher).

Minimum of 3 years’ hands-on experience as an Electrician in a manufacturing or automotive environment.

Basic working knowledge of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs).

Familiarity with industrial electrical systems, wiring diagrams, and automation processes is advantageous.
