Job Summary:
We are currently seeking a qualified and experienced Electrician to join our technical team. The ideal candidate will possess a recognized Trade Test or government-registered equivalent electrical qualification and demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, safety awareness, and the ability to perform under pressure in a plant-based or production environment.
This position plays a critical role in ensuring electrical systems and equipment are operating at peak efficiency and in compliance with safety standards.
Minimum Requirements:
Qualifications:

Trade Test Certificate in Electrical Engineering (recognized in South Africa)

OR an equivalent electrical qualification registered with the South African government
Experience:

Minimum of 2 years’ post-qualification experience in an industrial or production environment
Skills and Competencies:

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Basic computer literacy

Proficiency in using diagnostic test instruments for troubleshooting electrical systems

Strong problem-solving skills

Ability to coach and train junior staff on technical aspects and safety
Knowledge Required:

In-depth understanding of electrical circuits and components

Working knowledge of SAP Plant Maintenance (SAP PM) is an advantage

Understanding of Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Act and safe working procedures

Maintain and support production equipment to ensure minimal downtime
