An exciting vacancy exists at King Phalo Airport for an experienced Electrical Maintenance Technician within the Airport Management Division.
Key Performance Output
The successful candidate, will be reporting to the Manager Electrical Maintenance will be responsible for the following:
- Input into maintenance planning, scheduling and execution of the asset
- Execute safe planned and unplanned maintenance activities
- Provide input into the development of maintenance planning programme and execution thereof
- Utilisation of enterprise asset management system.
- Participate in failure investigation and root cause analysis
- Maintain and/or manage material and spares.
- Consult and give support in commissioning and testing of assets.
- Conduct studies and make recommendations on upgrades/replacements of assets.
- Adhere to relevant statutory/legislative regulations, SOP’s, operational standards, policies and practices.
- Adherence to municipal by-laws.
- Manage Service Level Agreement (maintenance and supply).
- Conduct continuous Audit and quality control (activities and contractual) and implement remedial action where required.
- Determine, as part of cross-functional team, evaluation criteria and participate in evaluation and award of bids / tenders received
- Prepare, specify, scope of work and technical requirements.
- Provide Input into allocated budget
- Identify cost-saving initiatives within area of control.
- Compile and submit relevant reports
- Identify and report possible efficiency enhancements and initiatives to ensure resource savings.
- Engage with relevant stakeholders on report findings.
- Provide relevant and specialized technical support in area of expertise to relevant stakeholders to ensure achievement of objectives
Technical Skills and Experience
The following skills and experience or the equivalent of such will be required:
- Diploma in Electrical is essential
- 3 years in Infrastructure Maintenance Operational is Essential
- Technical, specialist or analytical skills acquired through tertiary education or the equivalent experience.
