Minimum Requirements For The Eskom Fitter & Turner Job Opportunity

Qualifications:

• Trade Certificate in Fitting & Turning

• Or an equivalent Fitter Qualification registered and recognized by the Government of South Africa

Experience:

• Minimum of 2 years’ post-qualification experience in a relevant fitting and turning role

Skills and Competencies:

• Excellent mechanical fitting skills

• Proficient in the use of hand tools and workshop equipment

• Good interpersonal and communication skills

• Strong planning and organizing abilities

• Computer literate with basic technical software knowledge

Knowledge Requirements:

• Ability to use mechanical measuring equipment such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges

• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, including component tolerances

• Familiarity with the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OSHACT 85 of 1993)

• Understanding of basic quality systems and control procedures

• Committed to high-quality workmanship and precision

   • Share expertise and mentor junior team members where necessary
