Coca-Cola Beverages South Africa (CCBSA) is looking for a skilled and passionate Process Artisan (Electrical) to join our dynamic manufacturing team at our Lakeside facility. This role is ideal for a qualified artisan with an electrical background, seeking a challenging yet rewarding career in a fast-paced FMCG environment.

The primary purpose of this role is to conduct proactive maintenance, repairs, inspections, and adjustments on manufacturing equipment. The goal is to improve overall line efficiency, ensure optimal equipment availability, reduce downtime, and mitigate operational risks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct scheduled and unscheduled maintenance and repairs on plant equipment

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and evaluate equipment breakdowns using root cause analysis

• Manufacture, assemble, and replace machine parts where necessary

• Support line start-ups and ensure minimal downtime

• Manage and coach learners and junior staff in technical areas

• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment in line with SHE (Safety, Health & Environment) standards

• Collaborate in project work, providing technical insight and execution

• Complete accurate equipment requisitions and technical documentation

• Ensure compliance with PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) systems and control processes

Minimum Requirements:

• Qualified Electrical Artisan (Trade Tested)

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in an FMCG (Fast Moving Consumer Goods) manufacturing environment

• Strong understanding of electrical systems, PLC operations, bottling processes, and SHE procedures

• Ability to work independently under pressure and deliver to tight timelines

• Demonstrated ability to train, coach, and lead in a technical setting

• Advanced hand-eye coordination and mechanical assembly skills

• Strong technical knowledge and ability to apply theory to practice

• Excellent problem-solving, planning, and decision-making skills

• Comfortable with advanced technical calculations and conceptual understanding of manufacturing processes
