Responsibilities:

• Accurately read and interpret engineering drawings and technical product specifications.

• Operate various welding machines and tools, including shielded metal arc, gas metal arc, and flux-cored arc welding equipment.

• Identify and adjust wire feeders, shielding gas cylinders, and regulators as needed.

• Perform all aspects of welding and fabrication, including fitting, tack welding, heat bending, clamping, and grinding.

• Use tools such as calipers, rulers, and squares to ensure precise alignment and measurement.

• Inspect completed work and compare against samples and specifications for quality assurance.

• Conduct basic maintenance and safety checks on welding equipment and report any issues.

• Operate an overhead crane and gas-cutting equipment.

• Ensure that health, safety, and housekeeping standards are maintained at all times.

• Mentor apprentices where required and support training initiatives.

• Collaborate with team members to meet production and quality goals.

• Participate in departmental meetings and assist the department manager in achieving operational objectives.

Minimum Requirements For The FLSmidth Artisan Welder Job Opportunity

• Qualified Artisan in Welding (Trade Certification required).

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar welding role.

• Strong knowledge of welding techniques, procedures, and safety standards.

• Ability to read technical drawings and part lists accurately.

• Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
