Job Purpose:

We are seeking a qualified Electrician to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced FMCG manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the continuous operation, functionality, and reliability of all electrical equipment within the production facility. This includes power supply installation, troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and supporting overall plant operations.

Key Responsibilities For The BevCo Electrical Artisan Job Opportunity

 Electrical Maintenance & Equipment Servicing

• Install, test, maintain, and troubleshoot all plant-related electrical systems, PLC-controlled machinery, and high-speed bottling equipment.

• Apply electrical theory and engineering knowledge to control panels, transformers, generators, motors, and circuits.

• Assemble and test motor control devices and electrical components based on engineering diagrams and electrical principles.

• Diagnose and resolve complex electrical and mechanical faults or failures to minimize downtime.

• Modify wiring systems or develop new diagrams for equipment upgrades and plant expansions.

 General Plant Support

• Perform preventative maintenance across all electrical and mechanical systems.

• Support emergency breakdowns and be available for operational call-outs.

• Perform pneumatic, electronic, and cooling system repairs to ensure consistent plant performance.

• Grease and service machinery according to the planned maintenance schedule.

 Health, Safety, and Compliance

• Ensure strict compliance with Health & Safety, Food Safety, and Environmental policies.

• Identify potential product contamination risks and implement effective control measures.

• Maintain excellent personal hygiene and enforce workplace cleanliness and safety standards.

• Follow incident reporting protocols and attend all quality and safety training sessions.

Minimum Requirements:

• Matric / Grade 12 / NQF Level 4

• Electrical Trade Test (Red Seal – Essential)

• 2–3 years of experience in FMCG, manufacturing, or industrial maintenance

• Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and email communication
