Are you passionate about mechanical processes and ready to build a career in food production? This Milling Apprenticeship Programme offers you the chance to gain theoretical knowledge and practical experience in a high-paced milling environment.

You’ll be trained to operate modern milling equipment, understand the full milling supply chain, and contribute to the production of food-grade finished products — all under the guidance of industry experts.

 What You Will Do

As a Milling Apprentice, you will:

• Complete theoretical modules through SAGMA (South African Grain Milling Academy)

• Rotate through key departments to gain comprehensive, hands-on exposure

• Work in shifts including weekends and public holidays as required

• Learn to operate a mill at designated capacity with optimal extraction efficiency

• Apply safety, quality, and production standards in real-time operations

• Work closely with the Production Manager / Head Miller to refine technical skills

• Understand the entire milling supply chain from raw grain to final product

 Minimum Requirements For The Milling Apprenticeship Opportunity | Premier FMCG & SAYouth

• Must reside in Vereeniging or nearby areas

• South African Citizen

• Matric (Grade 12) with:

  • Pure Mathematics (not Maths Literacy) – 60% or above

  • Physical Science – 60% or above

• Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays

• Committed to completing a 3-year apprenticeship program
