 Key Responsibilities For the Apprentice Diesel Mechanic At Ad Hoc

• Assist in the servicing and maintenance of diesel trucks and commercial vehicles

• Support basic diagnostics and repairs under the supervision of senior mechanics

• Conduct vehicle inspections and test drives before and after repairs

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workshop and warehouse

• Adhere strictly to workplace safety regulations

• Perform ad hoc duties as assigned by the lead mechanic

 Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12 / Matric or equivalent qualification

• Minimum of 1 year experience in a commercial vehicle workshop

• Hands-on exposure to diesel truck repairs and servicing

• Heavy Motor Vehicle Driver’s License (C1 or EC) and valid PDP

• Non-smoker and sober habits (strictly enforced)

• Good physical and medical health (fitness is essential)

• Stable employment record with contactable references
