Purpose of the Job

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Electrical Artisan to join our maintenance team within a dynamic and fast-paced manufacturing environment. The primary responsibility is to perform and oversee electrical maintenance activities on all production equipment, ensuring maximum uptime and reliability in accordance with the maintenance schedule. The role also includes supervision of Maintenance Assistants and collaboration with other departments to achieve production targets.


Key Responsibilities For The Epiroc Maintenance Electrician Vacancy

  • Perform electrical maintenance on production equipment according to the planned maintenance schedule.

  • Develop, manage, and maintain a critical spares list to reduce downtime.

  • Design, implement, and improve preventive maintenance programs.

  • Observe machine operations to identify inefficiencies or faults and take corrective action.

  • Assist with non-electrical maintenance tasks and participate in cross-functional maintenance activities.

  • Lead project-based maintenance initiatives across the factory.

  • Supervise and mentor Maintenance Assistants: delegate tasks, monitor performance, and provide hands-on guidance.

  • Communicate with the Electrical Foreman and production teams to schedule maintenance without disrupting operations.

  • Ensure all materials, tools, and spares are available ahead of planned work.

  • Maintain a high standard of housekeeping and comply with all safety protocols.


Qualification & Experience Requirements

  • Qualified Electrical Artisan (completed Trade Test)

  • Minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience in a manufacturing or maintenance environment

  • Wireman’s License (advantageous)

  • Strong background in PLC systems (Siemens, Omron, Mitsubishi, Moeller)

  • Proficiency with AC and DC motor drives

  • Solid knowledge of instrumentation and control systems

  • Previous experience in Steel Processing, FMCG, or Automotive sectors is advantageous
