Job Summary

The South African Bank Note Company (SABN), a world-class security printing organization fully owned by the South African Reserve Bank (SARB), is offering an exciting apprenticeship programme for aspiring artisans. This opportunity is ideal for ambitious individuals aiming to build a successful career in Mechanical, Electrical, Refrigeration (HVAC), Millwright, or Civil Engineering fields.

Through cutting-edge technology and international standards, SABN provides a structured 36-month apprenticeship programme comprising both classroom theory and intensive on-the-job training.


Minimum Requirements For The SABN 2025 Apprenticeship Programme

  • Matric Certificate with at least 50% in Mathematics and Physical Science

  • N2 – N6 Certificates in:

    • Mechanical Engineering

    • Electrical Engineering

    • Millwright

    • HVAC / Refrigeration

    • Civil Engineering
      (Certificate must include relevant trade theory subjects)

  • Must be under the age of 35 (Preference will be given to South African Youth)

  • A brief motivational statement explaining your interest in the apprenticeship

  • A comprehensive CV

  • Certified copies of qualifications and statements of results

  • Certified copy of your South African ID
