Tsebo Facilities Solution is seeking a skilled and reliable General Handyman to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide hands-on technical support for both reactive and planned preventative maintenance across the facility, ensuring a safe, functional, and well-maintained environment in line with service level agreements.

Key Responsibilities For The Tsebo Group General Handyman Vacancy

Operational Delivery:

• Perform general building repairs, including plumbing, painting, welding, carpentry, and other handyman tasks.

• Maintain furniture, fixtures, fittings, and equipment throughout the facility.

• Ensure all tasks are executed safely and in compliance with workplace standards.

• Maintain a clean and organized work area and workshop.

• Complete Work Orders accurately and submit to the Electrician or Supervisor.

• Maintain and care for tools and equipment.

• Support planned and reactive maintenance on internal and external facility components, including light machinery and fittings.

• Conduct scheduled inspections and planned preventative maintenance (PPM) tasks.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of general maintenance, materials, tools, and equipment.

• Hands-on experience in plumbing, carpentry, and basic electrical systems.

• Proficiency in using common hand and power tools.

• Ability to interpret and navigate building layouts and infrastructure.

• Good negotiation and time management skills.

• Experience managing suppliers/sub-contractors.

• Strong customer service orientation with a hospitality mindset.

Qualifications

• Matric (Grade 12) is essential.

• NQF Level 4 Technical Qualification (Advantageous).

• 2–5 years’ experience in a facilities maintenance or similar technical environment.
