We are looking for a motivated General Maintenance Assistant to join our maintenance team and help ensure smooth operation across our facilities. This role is ideal for someone with basic technical knowledge and a willingness to perform various semi-skilled tasks, including repairs, inspections, and general upkeep.

 Key Responsibilities For The Clover 2025 Artisan Assistant Vacancy

As a General Maintenance Assistant, your duties will include:

• Supporting Artisans and Technicians during repairs and maintenance operations.

• Preparing and cleaning tools and equipment before and after repairs.

• Performing general civil and maintenance tasks such as painting, carpentry, welding, and bricklaying.

• Moving and handling heavy machinery and equipment as needed.

• Assisting with routine inspections of electromechanical systems and electrical equipment.

• Cleaning and maintaining cooling towers and HVAC systems.

• Performing basic electrical tasks like changing plug socket outlets, light fittings, and air conditioning support.

• Conducting minor office repairs and general handyman tasks.

• Ensuring all work areas are safe and clean after each task.

 Minimum Requirements:

• Grade 12 / NQF Level 4 qualification.

• Must be fluent in business English (both written and verbal).

• Valid Code 10 driver’s license.

• Basic computer literacy.

• Willingness to travel, work off-site, and stay overnight when necessary.

• Able to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.

• Comfortable working in confined spaces and at heights.

• Experience supporting senior management or technical professionals is advantageous.
