The Production Technologies Association of South Africa (PtSA) invites you to apply for the PtSA TDM Powered Toolmaker Apprenticeship – a nationally recognized 4-year full-time apprenticeship that will prepare you for a rewarding career in toolmaking, die making, mold manufacturing, and special machining.

 What You’ll Learn

Through this structured apprenticeship programme, you will:

• Gain hands-on skills in tool, die, and mold-making environments

• Participate in on-the-job training at top manufacturing companies

• Work with cutting-edge machining technologies and manufacturing systems

• Learn to read and interpret technical drawings

• Develop precision measurement, machining, and component design skills

• Complete all required theoretical and practical modules for certification

 Minimum Entry Requirements For The PtSA Toolmaker Apprentice Program 2025

To qualify for this opportunity, applicants must have:

• Grade 12 with Core Mathematics and Physical Science, OR

• An N3 / NC(V) Level 4 certificate (NQF Level 4) with Mathematics and Physical or Engineering Science

• A strong interest in engineering, machining, or toolmaking

• Willingness to commit to a 4-year full-time apprenticeship

• Eagerness to gain employment in a technical manufacturing environment
