 Key Responsibilities For The Senwes Electrical Artisan Assistant 

As an Electrical Maintenance Assistant, your core duties will include:

• Assisting qualified electricians in the maintenance, repair, and upgrading of electrical installations

• Performing routine inspections of electrical equipment, fixtures, and installations

• Supporting preventative and reactive maintenance activities under supervision

• Adhering to all Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) procedures and relevant regulations

• Reporting faults or hazards and assisting with safe isolation of faulty equipment

• Helping maintain a clean and hazard-free working area

• Assisting in the safe use and maintenance of tools, ladders, and basic power tools

 Qualifications & Requirements

To be considered for this position, candidates should meet the following minimum requirements:

• Grade 10 minimum academic qualification
  (Preference will be given to candidates with a Matric/Grade 12 or Trade Certificate in Electrical or related field)

• Basic understanding of electrical systems and tools

• Knowledge or background in general maintenance work will be an advantage

• Willingness to learn and take direction from senior technicians or supervisors

• A strong safety mindset and ability to follow procedures

• Physically fit and able to perform manual tasks

• Good communication skills and a team-oriented attitude

 Desirable Skills

• Familiarity with hand and power tools used in electrical maintenance

• Ability to follow diagrams, technical instructions, and standard safety procedures

• Punctual, dependable, and self-motivated

• Strong attention to detail
