Main Purpose of the Job
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Installation Electrician (3-phase) to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing electrical services, including maintenance, repairs, and replacements on all relevant systems, infrastructure, and equipment across the facility or locality.
Key Responsibilities For The 3 Phase Electrician Job at MediclinicÂ

Perform routine and emergency electrical maintenance on systems, equipment, and infrastructure

Execute technical electrical jobs efficiently and safely within the designated locality

Conduct fault finding, diagnostics, and troubleshooting on electrical installations and systems

Carry out administrative duties related to technical functions and compliance requirements

Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental (OHS/ISO) regulations
-
Manage and coordinate activities of on-site contractors and service providers
-
Identify, report, and mitigate technical risks that may impact operations
-
Maintain positive client and stakeholder relations and ensure high levels of service delivery
-
Mentor and provide technical support to junior team members
Minimum Qualifications and Certifications
Essential Education:
-
NQF Level 4 Electrical Qualification with subjects:
-
Mathematics
-
Science or Industrial Electronics
-
Electro-technology
-
-
Trade Test Certificate: Electrical (3-Phase)
-
Wireman’s License (Installation Electrician – 3-Phase) or equivalent Namibian registration (where applicable)
OR
-
NQF Level 6 qualification in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering

Must include Thermodynamics and Electro Technology passed at second-year level

Essential Certification:
-
Valid Wireman’s License (Installation Electrician – 3-Phase)
-
Valid Code B Driver’s License and own reliable transport
Experience Requirements
-
Minimum 5 years’ experience post-trade as a registered 3-phase Installation Electrician
-
Healthcare or hospital maintenance experience is advantageous
-
Preferably 3+ years’ experience in Mediclinic electrical systems (optional, if applicable)
Skills and Competencies
-
In-depth knowledge of electrical maintenance and repair
-
Familiarity with test equipment, diagnostic tools, and fault detection
-
Understanding of HVAC systems, fire alarms, and IT communication networks
-
Skilled in interpreting electrical schematics and regulatory compliance
-
Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, and documentation abilities
-
Competent in Microsoft Office and Planned Maintenance Systems (PMS)
-
Strong mentoring and team collaboration skills
