Job Purpose
The Artisan Assistant provides support to qualified Artisans in performing installation, repair, and maintenance tasks across the organization. This role involves assisting with both routine and technical duties while ensuring a safe and efficient work environment.
Key Responsibilities For The Necsa x2 Artisan Assistant Jobs

Assist Artisans with daily tasks and perform routine maintenance below artisan level.

Support in installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing systems, machinery, and equipment.

Help conduct inspections, diagnose faults, and support testing processes.

Complete and return Job Cards to the Planning Office for processing and recovery.

Adhere strictly to safety protocols and actively participate in safety meetings and training.

Conduct Behaviour-Based Safety (BBS) observations.

Assist in delivering quality maintenance services and minimizing rework or defects.

Monitor inventory and report shortages or tool discrepancies.

Support junior assistants through mentoring and teamwork.

Participate in Green Area Meetings (Toolbox Talks) and foster a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
Key Knowledge & Skills

Basic knowledge of maintenance systems, safety rules, and tools usage

Basic fault-finding and problem-solving skills

Strong time management and communication abilities

Team player with resilience and a proactive attitude

Safety-oriented mindset
Minimum Requirements

Grade 12 (Matric)
-
Valid Driver’s License (Compulsory)

Minimum of 1 year experience in a maintenance environment (preferred)
