Siyanda Bakgatla Platinum Mine is offering an exciting Apprenticeship Programme for dedicated and motivated individuals aiming to pursue a career as a qualified artisan. This opportunity is aligned with the mine’s commitment to skills development and Employment Equity, with preference given to historically disadvantaged South Africans.
 Purpose of the Apprenticeship Programme
This 3-year registered apprenticeship aims to:

Provide structured institutional learning and workplace experience aligned with NQF Levels 3–4.

Develop artisans in line with industry standards and Siyanda Bakgatla Platinum Mine’s operational requirements.

Ensure competency development through a combination of on-the-job training and formal classroom instruction.
 Key Responsibilities For The 2025 Auto Electrician Learnership Program

Adhere to all legislative and training requirements outlined in the Learnership Agreement.

Take responsibility for practical skills development and theoretical learning.

Actively participate in technical training, assessments, and workplace activities.

Demonstrate trade competence within the 3-year apprenticeship period.

Apply critical thinking and problem-solving in trade-specific tasks.
 Minimum Requirements:

Grade 12 (Matric) with:
-
Mathematics (not Mathematical Literacy)
-
Natural Sciences
OR
-
-
N2 Certificate with four trade-specific subjects (e.g., Engineering Science, Mathematics, Trade Theory, Industrial Electronics)
Required Skills and Attributes:
-
Fluent in English (reading, writing, and verbal communication)

Willingness to learn and grow within the mining industry

Responsibility for personal development and safety

Strong teamwork, self-motivation, and adaptability
