Minimum Requirements:
- Minimum Grade 12 with Maths and Physical Science
- Experience in manufacturing environment would be advantageous
- Experience in stainless steel industry would be advantageous
Responsibilities:
- Support quality initiatives
- Support the team leaders and artisans
- Maintain 5S condition of the working zone
- Maintain safety standards in the department
- Drive cost improvement initiatives through continuous improvement
- Maintain equipment standards (through TPM schedules)
Behavioural Requirements:
- Must have ambition and willingness to learn the assembling, manufacturing, straightening and cleaning procedures in the stainless-steel environment
- Ability to read and write and follow procedures
- Must be safety and quality conscious
- Must be quality conscious
- Able to work with minimal supervision, and be able to follow instructions
- Able to relate well with people
- Manage time well, by prioritising and sequencing tasks
- Willing to be trained in more than one discipline of the rolling stock process
- Must be able and willing to perform the same task repeatedly & consistently
- Must be able to consistently stand for entire shift
