Purpose of the Role
Sasol Mining is offering apprenticeship opportunities for permanent Sasol employees who have a strong technical mindset and are eager to become qualified Diesel Mechanics. This training is aligned with the requirements of the relevant SETA (QCTO) and the National Artisan Moderation Board (NAMB).
Minimum Requirements For The Sasol Mining Diesel Mechanic Apprenticeship
Candidates must hold an N3 Certificate or equivalent Grade 12 qualification with the following subjects:

Mathematics / Technical Mathematics
-
English / Business English / Communications
-
Technical Science / Physical Science
-
Engineering Science
-
Diesel Trade Theory (to be completed before final trade test)
 Note: You will be required to complete Diesel N2 trade theory before attempting your final trade test.
Personal Attributes Required

Good verbal and written communication skills

Computer literate

Proactive and a self-starter

Motivated and eager to learn

Able to work independently and in a team environment

Willingness to learn and grow within Sasol
What Your Training Will Include

Diesel Equipment Maintenance
-
Mechanical Equipment Knowledge
-
Underground Production Equipment Maintenance (e.g. ILMD, Tractor, LDV)

Understanding of Safety Prerequisites and Good Housekeeping
