About the Apprenticeship Programme
Novus Print in Montague Gardens is inviting applications for its 2025 Apprenticeship Programme, which starts in January 2026. This 36-month programme combines theoretical training and hands-on practical experience in preparation for the Printing Industry Trade Tests.
Available Apprenticeship Trades:

Lithography Press
-
Electronic Pre-Press
-
Mechanised Bookbinding
-
Gravure Press
-
Sheetfed Press
Programme Structure
-
Phase 1: ±3–4 months of theoretical training at the academy.

Phase 2–4: ±26–30 months of on-the-job experiential training at Novus Print.

Theoretical modules facilitated by Printing SA.

Duration: 36 months in total.
Note: There is no guarantee of permanent employment after completing the programme.
Educational Requirements For The Novus Print Apprenticeship Programme

Grade 12 / Matric with Mathematics or Mathematical Literacy

Mathematical Literacy minimum pass rate: 50%

A technical foundation or related qualification will be advantageous
