Minimum Qualification Requirements
- Grade 12 Certificate with a minimum of:
- English: 60% (Grade 5) or higher
- Mathematics: 60% (Grade 5) or higher
- Physical Science: 60% (Grade 5) or higher
- Medically fit to work in the specified business area.
- Clear security screening record.
- A valid driver’s license (if applicable).
Advantageous Qualifications
- Relevant experience in a similar environment is highly advantageous.
Additional Requirements
- 18.2 Learner Miner: Relevant experience in the mining industry is advantageous.
Key Responsibilities For The Sibanye-Stillwater Mining Learnership Program
- Programme Objectives:
- Demonstrate an understanding of the development programme objectives and associated tasks.
- Complete all programme modules within the specified timeframe.
- Escalate queries or concerns related to programme completion when necessary.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
- Safety, Health, and Environment (SHE):
- Adhere to all legal and safety requirements.
- Conduct work according to required standards, specifications, and training.
- Attend SHE meetings as needed.
- Ensure the correct safety equipment is used and worn.
- Recognize hazardous situations and actively participate in on-the-job risk assessments.
- Comply with all company safety procedures.
- Reporting:
- Compile progress reports for developmental discussions with relevant stakeholders.
- Report any inconsistencies and obstacles.
- Communicate ideas and recommendations to improve processes.
