Minimum Qualification Requirements

  • Grade 12 Certificate with a minimum of:
    • English: 60% (Grade 5) or higher
    • Mathematics: 60% (Grade 5) or higher
    • Physical Science: 60% (Grade 5) or higher
  • Medically fit to work in the specified business area.
  • Clear security screening record.
  • A valid driver’s license (if applicable).

Advantageous Qualifications

  • Relevant experience in a similar environment is highly advantageous.

Additional Requirements

  • 18.2 Learner Miner: Relevant experience in the mining industry is advantageous.

Key Responsibilities For The Sibanye-Stillwater Mining Learnership Program

  1. Programme Objectives:
    • Demonstrate an understanding of the development programme objectives and associated tasks.
    • Complete all programme modules within the specified timeframe.
    • Escalate queries or concerns related to programme completion when necessary.
    • Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
  2. Safety, Health, and Environment (SHE):
    • Adhere to all legal and safety requirements.
    • Conduct work according to required standards, specifications, and training.
    • Attend SHE meetings as needed.
    • Ensure the correct safety equipment is used and worn.
    • Recognize hazardous situations and actively participate in on-the-job risk assessments.
    • Comply with all company safety procedures.
  3. Reporting:
    • Compile progress reports for developmental discussions with relevant stakeholders.
    • Report any inconsistencies and obstacles.
    • Communicate ideas and recommendations to improve processes.
