Job Summary:
Rand Water is seeking a qualified and experienced Auto Electrician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the repair and maintenance of electrical systems and components on vehicles, plant, and equipment.

Minimum Requirements For The Randwater Artisan Electrician Opportunity 

• Grade 12 or N3 qualification

• Recognised Auto Electrician Trade Test Certificate

• Valid C1 driver’s license

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role/environment

Primary Responsibilities:

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain electrical systems and components on vehicles, heavy plant, and equipment

• Complete job cards and timesheets for review by the Workshop Supervisor

• Attend Green Area Meetings to share and resolve technical issues with fellow artisans

• Provide after-hours and weekend support for emergency breakdowns

• Perform field service operations and execute repairs on-site

• Assist with escort duties during the transportation of heavy loads

• Ensure all faults are repaired efficiently and timeously

Required Knowledge:

• Sound understanding of relevant SHEQ principles (Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality)

• Familiarity with modern diagnostic and testing equipment

Skills and Competencies:

• Strong communication skills

• Proficient with diesel injection systems

• Ability to work independently and under pressure
