Rand Water is seeking a motivated and reliable General Worker to assist with pipeline patrols, valve and meter maintenance, and general upkeep of facilities.

Minimum Requirements For The Artisan Assistant Position At Rand Water

• Grade 12 or N3.

• Valid driver’s licence.

• At least 1 year of experience in a similar environment.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Conduct routine pipeline patrols to identify faults or irregularities.

• Take meter readings accurately and timeously.

• Perform maintenance and repairs on pipes and valves.

• Carry out ground maintenance duties, including cleaning and upkeep of buildings and offices.

• Participate in standby duties when required.

• Ensure the site and equipment are maintained in a clean, safe, and operational condition.

Knowledge & Skills

• Good verbal communication skills.

• Basic knowledge of general maintenance and safety practices.

• Ability to ride a bicycle for pipeline patrols.

• Reliable, safety-conscious, and able to work well in a team.
