Key Responsibilities For The X5 Sibanye Stillwater Artisan Assistants
1. Maintenance
-
Achieve safe production performance levels through effective equipment maintenance.
-
Attend and conduct safety meetings.
-
Conduct and participate in risk assessments.
-
Allocate tasks to subordinates and provide on-the-job training and coaching.
-
Attend to breakdowns and emergencies promptly.
-
Ensure the availability of materials, spares, and equipment.
-
Apply judgment in replacing components and ensure work meets required standards and specifications.
-
Complete job cards, including descriptions of work and spares used (PMs).
-
Record results of legal examinations in the appropriate format.
-
Work in a sequence that prioritises operational requirements.
2. Operations
-
Assist in developing programs to minimise unplanned downtime on critical equipment.
-
Participate in cross-functional teams for cleaning, lubrication, and first-line maintenance.
-
Contribute to RCM-based task list development and failure analysis initiatives.
-
Analyse maintenance history to identify recurring failure patterns and implement preventive actions.
-
Make formal recommendations to Engineers, Foremen, and GESs.
-
Align maintenance schedules with production and engineering requirements.
-
Ensure daily capacity planning for both preventative and corrective maintenance tasks.
-
Control all work through work orders and ensure information loops are closed.
-
Liaise with Supervisors to ensure technical manuals and documents are up to date.
-
Participate in equipment specification processes and review for production equipment.
-
Confirm adequacy of facilities and tools for basic maintenance tasks.
-
Support additional ad-hoc engineering tasks/projects as required.

Maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Ensure open communication channels across the organisation.
