We are offering a 3–4 year Instrumentation Apprenticeship Programme, providing aspiring artisans with the opportunity to gain hands-on experience and become qualified tradesmen. This structured programme, aligned with company and SETA requirements, combines practical training with theoretical learning to prepare candidates for a successful career as an Instrumentation Artisan.

Key Responsibilities For The SAB Apprentice Instrumentation x2

  • Complete the apprenticeship programme in line with SETA and company standards.

  • Assist with the installation, maintenance, and optimisation of instrumentation and control systems.

  • Ensure compliance with all safety, health, and environmental regulations.

  • Support equipment inspections, fault-finding, and repairs.

  • Participate in planning, preparation, and execution of technical tasks.

  • Continuously improve plant processes, systems, and technical performance.

Minimum Requirements

  • Grade 12 / Matric with Mathematics & Physical Science.

  • N4 Technical Certificate in Instrumentation (essential).

  • N5/N6 in Instrumentation or related engineering discipline (advantageous).

  • Strong engineering aptitude and problem-solving ability.

  • Physically fit, good vision, and not colour blind.

  • Willing to work shifts, overtime, and attend training in Johannesburg.
