Minimum Required Qualifications

To be considered for this position, applicants must have:

• Grade 12 / N2 qualification.

• Completed Trade Test – Certified Competent as Electrician.

• Valid Trade Certificate.

• At least 1 year’s experience in a similar role.

• Medically fit to work in the specific business area.

• Clear security screening record.

• Willingness to perform standby duties and overtime.

• Valid driver’s license (where applicable).

Key Responsibilities For The Sibanye Stillwater Artisan Opportunities

As an Electrician at Sibanye-Stillwater, your responsibilities will include:

• Ensuring safe and effective maintenance of equipment to support production targets.

• Attending and conducting Safety Meetings and participating in risk assessments.

• Allocating tasks and providing on-the-job coaching and training to subordinates.

• Responding promptly to breakdowns and emergencies.

• Ensuring availability of materials, spares, and equipment.

• Complying with environmental and safety regulations.

• Exercising sound judgment regarding the replacement of components.

• Performing all tasks to required standards and specifications.

• Maintaining a high quality of workmanship and accurate reporting.

• Completing job cards, recording descriptions of work performed, and documenting spares used (PMs).

• Recording results of legal examinations in the correct format.

• Working in a prioritised sequence to meet operational requirements.

• Location: Within Sibanye-Stillwater operations (specific business area).

• Type: Permanent employment (subject to meeting medical and security requirements).

• Work Environment: Underground and/or surface operations depending on placement.
